About this experience
The Ketama Hashish Workshop offers a rare opportunity to experience one of the Rif Mountains’ most famous traditions — the transformation of cannabis into hashish. Guided by local experts, you’ll learn each step of the process, from handling dried flowers to traditional sieving and pressing techniques.
During this 2 hour workshop, you can try making your own small sample under the guidance of your host. The focus is on learning and cultural appreciation, so while you may taste or smoke what you make during the session, it cannot be taken with you after the workshop. This ensures the experience stays legal and respectful of local regulations.
As you work, your hosts will share stories about the history of hashish in Ketama, its role in the community, and the traditions passed down through generations. You’ll see the tools used in the past and compare them with modern methods, gaining insight into how this craft has evolved over time.
The workshop also includes Moroccan mint tea, coffee, and homemade cakes, served in a relaxed setting where conversation flows easily. It’s a chance to connect, ask questions, and immerse yourself in the cultural side of cannabis.

- Free cancellation – Cancel up to 7 days before your scheduled arrival or activity for a full refund.
- Partial refund – Cancel between 3 and 6 days before and receive a 50% refund.
- No refund – Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the booking start time are non-refundable.
3. No-Shows
If you do not arrive for your booking and have not contacted us in advance, the full booking amount will be charged.
4. Booking Changes
- You may request changes to your booking (dates, number of guests, or activity type) at least 72 hours before the start time.
- All changes are subject to availability and may result in a price adjustment.
5. Cancellations by Visit Ketama or Hosts
In rare cases such as severe weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances, we may cancel or reschedule your booking.
If this happens, you will be offered the choice of:
- Rescheduling at no extra cost
- Receiving a full refund
6. How to Cancel
- Send your cancellation request by replying to your booking confirmation email or contacting us at [your contact email].
- The cancellation date and time will be based on Moroccan local time (GMT+1).
7. Special Considerations for Rif Mountain Travel
Due to the remote location and preparation needed for some activities, certain high-demand or custom experiences may have stricter cancellation rules, which will be clearly stated during booking.
